RUSSIA: False Siberian UFO Crash
According to information passed by well known researcher Mr. Paul Stonehill, the alleged UFO crash in Krasnoyarsk that took place on 1st of December 2006 is a hoax.
Mr. Stonehill mentioned that nothing was found in the taiga "and in the opinion of the law enforcement agencies, the whole incident was someone's joke. A helicopter did circle over the area for an hour, but found nothing. The person who called to report the 'crash' to the authorities is being sought. They have his phone number."
The following information was released by Interfax on the 1st day of the month.
"An unidentified flying object has reportedly crashed between the towns of Yeniseisk and Lesosibirsk in theYenisei district of the Krasnoyarsk territory. Local residents say they observed the crash at about 10 a.m. localtime, adding that they also saw traces of fire in the taiga, the maindepartment of interior affairs of the territory told Interfax. 'An investigative group of the department of interior affairs ofthe Krasnoyarsk territory and representatives of the transportprosecutor's office and Rosavianadzor were sent to the scene of the crash', the department said. The Siberian regional center of the Russian Emergency SituationsMinistry told Interfax it cannot confirm the crash. A Mil Mi-8helicopter flew over the scene and no traces of any crash were detected, it said."
